Ford F-150 TPMS Reset
This guide covers the TPMS sensor training procedure for the 2022-2026 Ford F-150.
The F-150 can enter a sensor training mode that allows the vehicle to learn the position of each tire pressure sensor.
Before You Start
Check the Safety Compliance Certification Label on the door pillar for the required tire pressures.
Drive the vehicle above 20 mph (32 km/h) for at least 2 minutes before beginning the procedure. Then park in a safe location with access to an air pump.
Keep the vehicle at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from other vehicles during the procedure to reduce the possibility of signal interference.
TPMS Sensor Training Procedure
- Switch the ignition OFF.
- Switch the ignition ON, but do not start the engine.
- Within 10 seconds, switch the Hazard Flashers ON, then OFF 3 times.
- The horn should sound once and a reset message should appear in the information display.
- If the system does not enter reset mode, restart the procedure from the ignition ON step.
- Go to the Left Front tire and decrease air pressure until the horn sounds.
- A single horn tone confirms that the sensor has been learned.
- Continue with the Right Front, Right Rear, and Left Rear tires in that order.
- Training is complete when the system indicator stops flashing and the dash message updates.
- Switch the ignition OFF.
- If the horn sounds twice after turning the ignition off, the procedure failed.
- Set all four tires to the recommended PSI shown on the door label.
