2017-2021 Guide

F-150 Tire Pressure Light Reset

If your low tire pressure warning light is on after inflating your tires, follow this verified reset procedure for 2017-2021 models.

Before resetting the light

  • Check the door pillar label for the correct PSI (Front vs. Rear may differ).
  • Drive above 20 mph (32 km/h) for at least 2 minutes.
  • Park in a safe location with access to an air pump.
1

Place ignition in OFF and keep the key in the ignition.

2

Cycle ignition to ON (Engine OFF).

4

Switch the Hazard Flashers ON then OFF 3 times.

The horn sounds once and a reset message appears in the information display.
7

Proceed in a Clockwise Order starting with the Left Front (Driver Side) tire.

8

Remove valve cap and decrease pressure until the horn sounds.

A single horn tone confirms the sensor location is learned.
11

Move to the Right Front tire and deflate until the horn sounds.

12

Move to the Right Rear tire and deflate until the horn sounds.

13

Move to the Left Rear tire and deflate until the horn sounds.

Training is complete when the indicator stops flashing and the dash message updates.
15

Turn ignition OFF.

17

Inflate all tires to the recommended pressure found on your door label.

Stay at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from other Ford vehicles also performing a reset.
Do not wait more than 2 minutes between tires, or the system will time-out.
If the horn sounds twice at any point, the procedure failed and must be restarted.
