2021 Model

Silverado 1500 TPMS Reset

Official procedure for 2021 models.

Before you start

  • Tires must be cold for accurate adjustment
  • Parking brake must be set for Relearn mode
1

Adjust all tires to the pressure listed on the driver's door jamb sticker.

2

Drive the vehicle above 20 mph (32 km/h) for several minutes. The system will detect the new pressures and turn off the light automatically.

4

Turn the ignition to ON/RUN (Engine OFF). Use the steering wheel controls to navigate to the Tire Pressure menu on the instrument cluster.

5

Press and hold the Thumbwheel (Select) button until the horn chirps twice. The message 'Tire Learning Active' will appear.

6

Starting with the Driver's Side Front tire, increase or decrease pressure for about 10 seconds until the horn chirps. Proceed clockwise (FR, RR, RL) until the final horn chirp confirms the system is reset.

The 'Tire Learning Active' mode will time out after 2 minutes of inactivity.
If the light flashes for 60 seconds first, you likely have a dead sensor battery.
